If you enjoy drinking beer, supporting NIL’s efforts, and watching Washington Huskies football, I have great news for you. As Jedd Fisch and his Huskies prepare to begin the 2024 Washington Huskies football season with a move to the Big Ten, there are some exciting changes taking place at Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium.
Most of these changes concern the coaching staff, the squad, the new sports director, but there are things that are more direct Influence fan experience.
One of the most interesting changes Washington is introducing for this season is the way the Washington Huskies will be selling a beer that directly supports Seattle’s NIL efforts. So if you like to drink beer and support the Huskies (in more ways than one), then we have great news for you.
Husky football fans who are old enough to legally drink alcohol at a Washington Huskies football game this season can try Redhook Montlake Gameday Gold Lager. As per the UW press release on this topicthe beer is the official beer of Montlake Futures.
For those who don’t know, Montlake Futures is the NIL collective that supports University of Washington athletes, so purchasing Redhook Montlake Gameday Gold Lager benefits the Washington Huskies.
Oh, and while the beer isn’t available in Seattle-area stores yet, according to the press release, it will be there soon, but give it some time.
NIL beer sales aren’t the only concession change coming to Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium this season.
To reduce queues and improve the game day experience, there are two new Drink Market locations at the stadium. These new locations have been added outside sections 106 and 129 and feature self-service kiosks.
In section 110, Husky Express has been renovated to include a self-service take-away checkout.
It’s the little things in life, but they add up. These kinds of improvements are exciting to see as the University of Washington is committed to providing Washington Huskies fans with the best gaming experience possible. Oh, and they’re being pretty smart with the NIL support, too. It’s cool to see.
