Karlie Kloss and Josh Kushner have snapped up a legendary mansion in Malibu, California, for a whopping $29.5 million.
The 32-year-old model and the 39-year-old venture capitalist bought the expensive property, named “Wave House,” at a discounted price, as the home was originally listed for $49.5 million in June 2023, the Wall Street Journal reported.
The mid-century modern West Coast home was previously owned by Rod Stewart and was designed by the late, great architect Harry Gesner in the 1950s.
Thanks to its unique curved roof with hand-cut, scale-like copper shingles, the structure resembles waves breaking on the shore.
“I wanted the house to look like a giant wave at the peak of its power,” Gesner said in Lisa Germany’s book “Houses of the Sundown Sea: The Architectural Vision of Harry Gesner.”
The floor plan is also said to be similar to that of the Sydney Opera House.
Gesner sketched the plans for the property while sitting on a surfboard on the water outside where the house now stands.
Set on stilts on a 4,000-square-foot beachfront lot, the complex measures 575 square feet and features six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, floor-to-ceiling windows and three wraparound terraces that are perfect for taking in the water views.
The home features a luxurious beachfront master suite with a sauna, three vaulted “public rooms,” a 60s-style sitting area, a central fireplace, and a hot tub.
“With its unique design and captivating atmosphere, the Wave House is a testament to architect Harry Gesner’s artistic vision and his enduring appeal in the real estate market,” Dena Luciano, one of the brokers, previously told The Post.
“It’s impressive and at the same time gives a feeling of relaxation,” added Luciano.
The property includes a separate building which is currently used as a garage and guest house.
Gesner originally designed the architectural gem – which was featured in the 2019 film “Yesterday” – for a local couple who owned a lumber yard in the area.
Stewart purchased the house in the early 1970s and Mo Ostin, CEO of Warner Bros. Records, bought the apartment in 1989.
After Ostin’s death in 2022, his estate handled the sale of the house to Kloss and Kushner.
The couple married in 2018 and have two sons together: Levi Joseph, 3, and Elijah Jude, who was born in July 2023.
The “Project Runway” star and her husband already have an impressive real estate portfolio.
Page Six reported in 2020 that the couple purchased a $23.5 million, eight-bedroom home in Miami, around the corner from Josh’s brother Jared Kushner and his wife Ivanka Trump.
The founder of “Code with Karlie” and Josh also own a $42.5 million penthouse apartment in New York City.
