To kick off the 2024-25 season, Forward Theater Company presents King James by Rajiv Joseph, directed by Mikael Burke. Performances will run September 12-29 at the Playhouse at Overture Center for the Arts.
THE STORY
“King” LeBron James was exactly the hero Cleveland needed. As one of the greatest NBA players of all time, his impact brought hope and renewal to an entire city. Set against the backdrop of James’ electrifying basketball career, this fast-paced comedy chronicles the turbulent relationship between two diehard fans whose fates are intertwined with those of their idol. A hilarious and heartfelt examination of loyalty, legacy and the shared moments that define us.
